Here we'll show you every month a small collection of useful, useless and funny or whacko sites on the Web which are always worth a visit on rainy days. Enjoy!! |
The Center For The Easily AmusedAmused.com describes itself as "The ultimate guide to wasting time". Its philosophy is "Life's too short to take seriously". In this highly original and hilarious site you will find links to many things such as the Web Cam Cinemaplex, "Dance Fever" (dancing web pages up the wazoo!), Chocolate-Covered Musings (deep thoughts gone horribly wrong), as well as many features you simply MUST see which are too numerous to list here. If you’re in the mood for a good laugh, then you’ve come to the right place! |

SCOUR Just about everyone has the usual list of search engines to visit when scouring the Web for information. But what if you've forgotten what color Ricky Martin's highlights are this week and you want to see a current photo? Or you just want to make sure that there aren't any illegal MP3s of your favorite Elvis song? Or perhaps you're looking for a video of Pamela Lee and Tommy...playing chess? |
Well, even Scour might not be able to help you with that last one, but it's certainly the best place to start! Founded by a bunch of UCLA students and funded by Hollywood uber-agent Michael Ovitz, Scour is a specialized multimedia search engine that helps you locate images, audio, and video files. It even displays helpful thumbnails on its search results pages, so you can peek before you click! |
Great Outdoors If you are one of the unfortunates who doesn't get the Outdoor Life Network on your cable system, you can still enjoy its Web site. It will make you feel so... Xtreme! Great Outdoors covers many outdoor activities. You'll find articles, reviews, and resources about skiing, climbing, hiking, sailing, mountain biking, and surfing, just to name a few. Almost anything strenuous and cool, dude. |

Great Outdoors is easy to navigate and packed with diverse information. Where else can you learn how to take underwater photos and read reviews of the latest hardcore synthetic underwear? It makes us wonder, though: if we're such a rugged outdoorspeople, then why do we spend so much time sitting in front of our computer reading this site? | |
