Besides the World POPS Meet in Canada, in September/October 1999 the US National Championships of Formation, Freestyle and Skysurfing will be held. And finally, at the end of October the big event of the year, the World Parachuting Championships in Corowa, Australia [this we will be covered in our October Issue].

1999 US National Championships
The United States Parachute Association (USPA) honors its national champions in six different disciplines each year at competitions held at parachute centers around the country.
The current skydiving competitions include: Canopy Formation; Formation Skydiving; Freefall Style and Accuracy Landing; Freestyle; Para-Ski; and Skysurfing.

Fifth World POPS Meet in Canada
The fifth POPS World Championships and Boogie will be hosted by the Fraser Valley Skydiving Centre in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada from 18th - 26th September.
The Fraser Valley Skydiving Centre is located in Chilliwack, 70 miles east of Vancouver. September weather is best with temperatures 20-25 ºC or 68-77 ºF. Elevation is 32 feet MSL.
The boogie will begin Saturday, 18th September. Competition will be Tueasday 21st to Saturday 25th (with Sunday 26th as a weather day, if needed). The awards Banquet will be Saturday evening, 25th September at the "Best Western Hotel". Also a Welcoming Barbeque evening will be held at the beginning of the meet. Free beer at DZ during happy hour.

Also POPS record for Canada and 'special/scenic' jumps being considered.
Aircraft: Otter, Cessnas, others to be determined. There will be fun jumping during the entire week.
