Australia - Dave Lock Memorial Accuracy Meet September 1-2, 2001 Courtesy of SwanChat - www.swanchat.comThe Dave Lock Memorial Accuracy Meet will take place on the weekend of September 1-2 at the Parachute Centre Perth, Western Australia. The Parachute Centre is hosting this year’s event and staff have been working hard to make sure it will be a fitting tribute to Dave on what would have been his birthday. CI Clive Smith is rolling back tandem and student activities that weekend to allow the event to take priority.
There are two categories - Open and Novice (under 200 jumps) - each of five rounds. The Open winner takes home $100, a medal and care of the perpetual trophy for a year. Second place wins $50 and a medal, third gets $25 and a medal.
For the novices, the first three placed win medals. The winner also gets exclusive use of Dave’s classic accuracy rig for the year. Dixie Lee has been kind enough to offer to do reserve packs and maintain the rig at no cost, other than the cost of parts and equipment. We hope this prize will encourage interest in classic accuracy . The rig and the trophy will be up for grabs again next year.
Early registration will qualify for an early bird draw. $86 covers five accuracy jumps, registration and Saturday night dinner. Registrations need to be received by 9 am on the Saturday. Non-jumpers are welcome at this event but please let us know you are coming. Registration forms are available from Karen or Clive (94141441, info@parachutecentre.com.au or fax 94141443). Also visit their website for featuring details. |
