AFF Certification Course at Skydive Delmarva October 6-14, 2001Skydive Delmarva is hosting an AFF Certification Course on October 6-14, 2001. Rick Horn will be the course director. For registration and inquiries please email Rick Horn a rick@rickhorn.com.
There will be a pre-course, dates to be confirmed. Please contact the dropzone as soon as possible to confirm interest in the pre-course and receive confirmation of dates, costs etc.
Skydive Delmarva has camping facilities and hot showers available as well as RV electric hook-ups. Hotels in the area include the Marathon Inn: (302) 875-1554, Best Western: (302) 629-8385, and the Holiday Inn: (302) 629-2000. Jump ticket prices are $18 per jump. We will be utilizing the Twin Otter and the King Air for the course and pre-course.
Those interested in having their Pre-Course and/or Certification Course jumps on video please contact our video concessionaires Martin Evans/Tracey Eckersley of Sky-Eye Skydiving Services. POPS Sequential Record Attempts September 1-3, 2001The Ranch at Gardiner, New York, is putting together a hot 30-way POPS sequential record group September 1-3. If you are a fast skydiver, live in NY, NJ, PA, CT or the surrounding areas and are a POP and big way qualified, send an email to Guy Wright at Blskyguy@aol.com with your qualifications. This event is for the New York state and the Ranch record. They also are seriously thinking of going for the world record POPS sequential if they get the right people. Demo Camp with the Golden Knights October 2-4, 2001For the first time ever, the Golden Knights are holding a civilian Demo Camp. This will take place October 2-4 at Skydive Cross Keys. Registration is limited. A "D" license is required. The camp will consist of workshops with the Golden Knights and the FAA. You will cover setting up an entertaining demo, and special rigging for flags and smoke. The camp also includes 10 jumps in order to obtain your Pro Rating, 2 flag jumps, and 1 mock demo into a stadium with the Golden Knights.
The Knights are not accepting payment for the camp, so the total cost for workshops and jumps is $200, including the $25 registration fee that will be donated to the Monroe Township Ambulance Corps. For more information and the registration form, please contact Liz at Liz@Freefalladventures.com. |
