Brent Finley and his machinist came up with a solution to the problem created by modern 'foreheadless' freeflying helmets. Because you have to rotate the helmet onto your head, most useful sight setups would jam the sight into your eye. They made an axially rotating post that allows you to swing the sight out of the way for putting on/taking off the helmet. Check it out at www.brentfinley.net/artclamp.htm ***

The WFFC Staff are going to try something new this year. Every night during the World Freefall Convention in Quincy at 8:30ish, they will spend time recognizing our fellow skydivers and their achievements. So if you have recently received some type of USPA, POPS, MUFF, FFWOSW, X,000 jumps, PIA, etc. award and/or membership, stop by the Entertainment Tent Stage and get your recognition and photo taken at the 'WFFC Nightly Awards'. ***

Convention with a full compliment of Triathlon and Diablo demo canopies. Their vendor tent is located in the usual primo location on Drop Zone Drive near the manifest area and main landing zone. Visit them and share information on the latest and greatest in skydiving technology. Aerodyne Research’s main office in Tampa, Florida, will be closed for summer break from August 7-10. ***
The weather was the only uncooperative aspect of the POPS weekend at Skydive Greene County, Xenia, Ohio. So, due to weather conditions prevailing for the entire weekend, the Ohio POPS Record still remains at 20 set at Aerohio this summer. Since the weather conditions were miserable, they channeled all the energetic energy into a wonderful birthday bash. Jim's birthday party was a hoot.
